This would probably be a great platform for touring, but it sure is ugly! Great engine, though.

It isn't bad looking in red.
V4 engine - I bet it spools up very nicely.
Pricing TBD, but I bet it's a good $15K or higher. |

Looks like they gave the ST1300 the same treatment that they did the GL1800 to create the F6B. |

The styling reminds me of the DN-1. I kinda like this one. |

Honda is also coming out with a new 650cc 4-cylinder. I like the looks of this one better. I don't know if either of these will be offered in the U.S. or not.

Nice to see the CB400F style headers back in production. |

Looks like all the bike companies are coming out with a new and revised selection of bikes this year. I'm psych'd about this one in particular. Yamaha FZ-09 (Euro MT-09) It's smoking all the triples in it's class and it's around $7500.00 out the door. Must have it.

Had a chance to sit on the FZ-09 recently. Nice bike - getting great reviews. |

A couple of other pics of the CTX1300. Seems a bit wide in the nose to me. Can't see how that windscreen would do much at all.

Interesting bike.
I love my ST1100's and have been kicking around updating to an ST1300 but haven't gotten serious except a couple test rides a couple years ago.
There's mixed reviews on the F6B. From the looks of the CTX1300 it doesn't look like much protection from the wind. I think Honda needs to focus on one or the other (long distance or cruiser) not both in the same platform. |

I think Honda went for the Harley batwing fairing look. I would put a longer windshield on. |

Had an opportunity to see the new 1300 at the Atlanta International Motorcycle Show yesterday. I was hoping it would look much better in person than in pictures, but boy was I disappointed. The front of the bike is just way too wide, and it feels extremely top heavy. That seemed to be the opinion of everyone there at the show that was looking at the bike. All in all, I'd much rather have a Goldwing. |
