I usually don't get to ride this late in the year. It has been very warm and so...... I went for a ride along the Turnagain Arm and then up into the mountains above Anchorage (my son calls it the Top Of The World). We usually have snow by now but not this year.

A gorgeous ride and gorgeous scenery, hope you have a few more days of fall before the snow hits.

Dave,
I can never get my head around this parking the bike up for months on end. Seems like only a little while ago since you pulled it out of hibernation after the moose was wandering in your yard. BTW the bike still looks amazing

Thanks guys. The weather has been fairly rainy and that is why it is warm (southern low pressure systems from the South Pacific). So even though it is warm it has been wet. Yesterday when I went outside in the morning it was about 50 DegF and some sunny breaks in the clouds. I put on about 50 miles and the bike ran flawlessly. I have to be careful this time of year, not to break the rear tire loose on acceleration or when going over painted lines on the roads. Wow no riding my bike until the end of April, 2014. Dang!! Shocked Sad Wink Laughing

I have some plans for upgrades and maintenance over the next 7 months. Ouch!!! Hearing the words (7 months) is painful. Well, I will be riding sleds this winter so will still get my motorized thrills. 1000cc's of pure adrenalin rush!!

Dave

Are those buildings in the background? I thought they only built igloos in Alaska? Wink

As always, beautiful scenery, and of course, a rockin bike!

Went to Tucson this past weekend, and on the drive from Phoenix to Tucson saw a bike (just another Harley, LOL) with an Alaska tag. Thought of you, Dave.

Enjoy the winter riding, and wrenching on BB, Dave, look forward to the next iteration!

Beautiful bike, upgrades I would like for mine. We had a couple inches of snow today.
