If you time your cams it's nice. Not everyone does. |

Yes, more than enough people seem to want one. Bobcat7 you certainly got this started and I'll have to be more carfull in the future about posting pictures as I never saw this one coming.
I am doing the pricing right now, have materials sourced and priced and are just going through the machining program and finishing options and costs. ie: do I include a dial gauge mount etc (Good idea but it is an extra cost)
So a little more patience and I promise it won't be to much longer and I'll have the figures for you and then you all can confirm or decline before I start making anything.

you planted the idea ! all I did was water and fertilize it ! this one is just too cool not to
ask for one. I would make all the other items optional, as the cam cap and lifter are the key
items that are unobtainium ! however, it would be nice to have the optional gauge mount
available! no undue pressure intended ! I just want 2 yesterday ! seriously, thanks for
considering doing this and please, post pics of of other cool tools without fear that this might
happen again ! bobcat |

OK, I've finished the programming and have a price for you all.
The unit will be the same as in the pictures but will also include a DTI holder as part of it. It will not be an option as I decided to do it this way because it is even easier to degree the cams as the dial gauge will also be held perfectly in line with the valve centre line.
The price is US $290.60 ea plus shipping (Aus US $10) (USA US $11) (CAN US $12) (ENG-EUR US $15) Shipping will be via Intertnational Air Parcel (6-10 days shipping time) Payment via PayPal and I will only bill when the tool is ready to ship.
I realise that many of you have already put your hand up and requested one and sometimes even two but I have not recorded anyone as it was pointless until you had the price.
Now that you have the price and if you wish to proceed, would please PM me with your order including your PayPal account details and your shipping address. I will confirm by return your order details so there will be no mistakes and will only accept orders until the Sunday the 18th Nov.

Come on guys.....in a worst case scenario where get you limited use of the tool, anyone here think they won't be able to sell it to recoup most of their costs?
It's not like he's running off 10,000 of them....there will only be a handful in the country.
Isn't it difficult to get repeatable results with the dial indicator perched at a slight angle like we do now?
Doesn't a straight 90 degree shot give the most repeatable consistent results? |

Last time I checked, 90 degrees is not a straight shot. Also, there is a much cheaper way to arrive at the same point. I prefer to take my readings straight off the bucket anyway. |

90 degrees gives a straight shot when the tool gets mounted in a manner that is perpendicular to the moving part getting measured.
When you actually do the job, it's not easy to get that indicator near 90 degrees to the bucket without moving around through out the process.
This tool addresses that.
When you are stranded on an island, you can drive a nail in with a rock too , but a hammer works better.
If you can't afford it, that's fine.
I'd still like him to offer this slick tool. |

I never said he shouldn't offer it. I would like one, don't get me wrong. It's just awfully pricey for what I need it for.
Also, I didn't realize you meant 90 degrees to the face of the bucket. I thought you meant 90 degrees to the travel of the bucket! It's funny how my brain works some times! |

it appears that the function/ accuracy of this tool is not fully
understood by some ! a while back a friend with HRC
connections described this tool to me and I couldn't
grasp what he described at the time. after seeing this tool I recognized it immediately ! once you get the hang of it, it really simplifies the process with total
accuracy. pricey, yes. unobtanium, depends on you
guys ! |

The last date for ordering has now past.
There has been enough interest for this to make it practical as I am holding orders for 10 tools and so it is definately not a waste of time. I have your PM's and will answer each one later today confirming receipt of your order etc.
And the good news is............. I will be starting to manufacture these tools later this week and it is my intension to finish them and ship so you all receive them before Xmas.
I will post pictures of the completed tool when they are finished and before shipping.
I think you will love the tool and will end up being pestered to loan it out.........................it is that good to use.
