for those of you who haven't visited this thread in "performance technical" and understand
the process (the difficult made simple),please view and read it ! let's get together and see if
we can get Brent to produce some of these ! the more requests, the less expense (I hope)
I want one ! especially if it will work on the CBX too ! WAY COOL TOOL ! |

I'd be in for one if it weren't too costly. A friend of mine has a cnc machine and has a business making tools for engine building. Perhaps if we got one in the hands of someone like that here, it would be cheaper to produce by eliminating shipping to the states.

Righty Ho..............Some pictures as I promised.
Not great quality pic's as I just banged them out quickly while I was doing other things but I'm sure they are good enough for anyone to understand.
In the months ahead I WILL be making another version of this tool and at that time it would be easy to do some extra's the same as this one shown at that time.

Brent,
Just a thought.....have you considered mounting the indicator right
on the center of the tool....with some kind of swival?

Yes, and a member here (Ivan the Terrible) has posted a 3D Cad drawing proposal as a suggestion. I haven't got back to hime yet about it but it needs further changes anyway. I am thinking of a removable stand for the dial gauge that is afixed to the upper surface of each dummy lifter hole that you just change over to the other when going from Exhaust to Intake or reverse. But first let me look at it after this coming weekend.

When we were bbuilding drag race engines a few years back....one of the guys had a slick
indicator that dropped right into the lifter bore and followed the lobe from there.
Much like you were suggesting.
BTW...I will take one of these as well....

Please put me down for one of these.
With thanks

Ok, so everybody buys two. That way you can degree both cams at once and really confuse yourself. |
