Looking for a paint source...paintscratch.com can’t match the blue paint. Who do you all use...I would prefer an aerosol can b/c I don’t have a gun.

I don't believe that there are codes for the 1100F colors and therefore, no paint shops stock the actual paint that our bikes call for. My painter did his best to match the color by scanning a non-faded side cover that I provided. This may be your only option. |

Read this thread about Maui Red (yes, I know you are asking about blue) but there are some comments about trying to scan pearl and candy colors. There is also a worthwhile comment from CBX-tras about what it would take to replicate Kapiolani Blue.

these guys are re-sellers for Reproduction Decals, under 1982 CB900F - Black
You may be able to pick up the same set a bit cheaper?

Friend of mine painted parts of his blue 1100 years ago. They shot it with a color match gun and the match same back as a toyota color. "Speed Blue" if I'm not mistaken. No joke. And it was actually bang on. Minus a wee bit of metal flake perhaps. Maybe look into that. |
