Hi
my name is Alex
i stay in a little town called Musselburgh in Bonnie Scotland
which is famous being the home of GOLF ,It has the world's 1st golf course, aswell as being one of the oldest towns in Scotland.
At the moment i ride these bad boys, they didn't look like this when i bought them ,they have been pulled apart and painted.
both yamaha's im affraid.
One of the reassons i joined the cb900f forum was because i want to get another cb900f as a long term project.
i previously owned a 900f which i pulled appart and did this to it
As i am determined to have another cb900f, i have allready purchased a complete set of Spencer Graphics so it gives me the get up and go to see my project through to the end .
thank you for taking the time to read through my post
many thanks Alex |

Welcome to the site, Alex.
I think we got the MT-01 for only one year here in Canada.
I only saw one on the road and he had Akropovic mufflers and it sounded great. |

Hi Alex Good to have another member from our side of the pond, lots of us on here to inspire and encourage you, have a look at the UK owners club also m8, great bunch of guys, lots of them sitting on loads of parts you may need, bit of a ride but the yearly get together at the Festival of 1000 bikes at Mallory park is worth the joining fee alone.

Positive mental attitude. That works welcome to the insanity. I'm sure you'll enjoy this bunch.
Nice job on the 900 too! |

When i bought my 900f it looked like this ,
the joys of buying from a not so honest ebayer ,ment that it had to be ripped appart after doing a little investigation into the uneven tickover i found that the carb's were fine ,the replacment engine the previous owner had purchased had 2 bent valves.
the reason i want another one is i love older 1970's-80's motorcycles.
in my opinion out of all the early 80's MUSCLE bikes wheather it was the GS1000,Z1,XS1100 the 900f has to be the best looking of all the machines created in the 80's
to me its not all about performance ,its more about the look of the machine ,for a motorcycle created over 30 years ago it is still a stunning looking machine. |
