Wow! Shocked 210 Euro for the complete 4-2 system is an excellent price! Cool
I paid 300 Euro plus shipping in Germany. The U.S. Dollar is at 1.43/Euro

The chance of re-plating the pipes in either BLACK or CHROME is about zero.

Trust me, I've done a lot of checking around. No plater will put your dirty (on the inside) used pipes in their dunk tanks and contaminate the tank. No one wants to clean out a dirty tank and re-fill the mix.

Besides, for the price you would pay for the stripping/polishing and plating alone you would be near the cost of a set of new pipes.

And as someone else said the shipping costs to and from a plater would make that option unreasonable.

Is ABC chrome still in Waterford? Use to use them a lot....and they would sink my rusty ol' Jeep parts.....

I'm looking at these pipes for Oldguys bike. This is the only set of pipes that I have seen that is close to stock but they are the black chrome. Has anybody seen any other brands that are std. chrome?

Thanks for any leads. Jim

They seem to have a website. Next time I'm in the area I'll stop by.

OK, so I looked at the JAMA system and the mufflers look more like the 750 system on the ends and I can not tell if they sell the headers?

I also see that David Silvers spares has a nice looking set but it looks like the Mac 4 into 2? Does anyone know who makes it and if its worthy? Because at $770.00 thats pretty pricey. If it's a Mac? they can be had for almost half that.

Next question is, has anyone tried a Mac 4 into 2 system? Is it really that bad? I know the 4 into 1's are pretty cheesy as far as performance goes, but on Oldguys bike we are not concerned about performance, unless it hurts the performance.

Or next option is, does anyone have a REALLY NICE stock system they would sell? I need something for his bike.

Thank You Jim

I talked to a guy with a Honda Nighthawk S, which has black chrome exhaust, & he said he painted his mufflers with automotive paint. He said the paint is good to 500-600 degrees F. He said the mufflers don't get close to that hot. Obviously the paint wouldn't work on the header. His mufflers looked way too shiny, but looked better than scratched or rusted ones. Would be an economical fix since these exhaust systems are unobtainium almost.

www.monsterparts.com They are the USA distributor for Marving. You will NOT find the Honda pipes listed on the - they are special order and you need to talk to Jeff.

See Jeff's posting on page 1 of this thread, dated 2011-08-31

Evan, Did you get the new 4 into 2 pipes for your 1100F?

How did they look and sound? Worth the money?

Thanks,
Elwood in VA

Elwood, sorry for not replying, this is a busy time of year for me, anyway, only thing I have done is open package & look for damage, have not installed yet as I had been looking for a set of original exhaust collars to use with new Marvings (bought bike w/Vance&Hines on it & it doesnt use original collars) Finally found a set on E-bay & will try to install soon. They will not fit an R. Friend of mine and I bought a set each for our RDs and the parts where the headers go into the collectors are too wide. The bottom fairing does not go over the exhaust.
