There are tons of these vids on youtube. They even line up two bikes as if they are going to race and then they proceed down the track side by side at a slow speed reving the bikes like they are trying to out do each other.

Is the guy trying to make some kind of rhythm using motor noise or is he just twisting aimlessly.
I'm guessing some acoustic pattern is the goal??

Last fall, I was staying at Kanayama Station near Nagoya in a tall hotel, and I could hear that all night. They roam in packs and drive really slow while they all rev their engines really high with no baffles in the exhaust. It was really weird.
What's up with that?

I know the Japanese have a huge problem with Motorcycle Gangs roaming the streets at night
fighting with rival gangs. In fact their fights are organized, each side is evened out.
But they are vicious with many deaths & the authorities have problems controlling the mayhem.
Maybe making music with their motorbikes is an initiation ceremony.
