I think it's time to change the welcome mat.
In my opinion, the thorough build thread and the timing of it's completion, coupled with the seasonally fitting paint scheme and aesthetic cues make petrat's bike the perfect candidate for the home page picture this time of year.

Definitely got my vote. I think a regular change would be great.
Christmas is coming - I see a red/white bike, snow, santa bunnies ...

I've only been participating on the site for a few months, but did like the new cover page. That bike is awesome. I think that if the cover picture changed more often, that people (including myself) would make more of an effort to post new pics of their bikes & destinations. This is also easy to say when I'm not doing any of the work. |

First of all, let me say the subject line here should have been tagged NWS.
While at work last night, I logged on to the forum. (Not supposed to do that of course ).....The pc is located behind the counter,
in other words my back was to the cash register and when I saw petrat's extremely beautiful build
I said quite loudly "Holy Shit!" By that time a customer had approached the register and asked if
I was looking at porn. I turned to him and said "Yea, Big Time" and showed him the pic.
He wasn't impressed, not that it mattered.
Anyway, just thought I would share that moment.
DAMN! That must be the most beautiful Honda I have ever seen!!! An incredible process from start to finish; I read through about 8 pages of the
build log; will finish reading later. Although, it is pretty disheartening to a commoner like me to know that I will never ever be capable
of building such a machine.
You must be incredibly proud, petrat. It is quite an amazing machine.
Kudos to you and the other forum members that helped you.
