Figures. I'm heading out for the Concours Owners Group Northeast Spring Fling on Wednesday. (Rally is Thurs, Fri, Sat.)
Although I never really trust the weathermen to do any more than give the current conditions.
Guess I'll be testing out my new waterproof boots and my riding gear. |

By August maybe? We will probably have the drought of all droughts this summer... either that or we are going set a new annual precipitation record. "Flood Warning" has been the forecast in VT for the last 3 weeks! |

From a pilot's point of view...
There's a low pressure system that's been sitting over the great lakes for the last few weeks...so all the weather is heading for that low pressure area.
The good news is that the "low" is only going to be there for the next week or so.
I'll be sure to let everybody know once I see a shift in the low pressure so we can all prep our bikes for a good hot summer ride! |

This sh*t is crazy right? 2011 has been the wettest year that I can remember. We had a great winter with plentiful snowfall followed up with a this very wet spring. Lake Champlain broke its previous record by just over a foot and has been flooded and Vermont has been in a State of Emergency for a couple of weeks. |

Send some out this way, we haven't had rain for months. We did get a tenth of an inch of snow on 1 May, but that was gone in about an hour.

It's going to rain here until at least Thursday. For the past month, we've been lucky if we had 2 decent riding days each week.
Ironically, my town instituted a water ban from 5/1 through 9/30, which prohibits non-essential outdoor water use from 9am-5pm. This includes irrigating lawns, washing cars, etc. We don't have a drought or a water shortage, but the great visionaries of my town have allowed home development to surpass water capacity. |

Farmers can't get onto the fields to plant crops around here, and many, many acres of farmland are ruined due to flooding. Expect higher grocery prices...again, and expect another excuse to raise fuel prices...again |

Point of endless contention between wife and I. Some mind the cold and wet, some don't. (I do)
I travel a lot with work, NOTHING, (thankfully) matches the constant damp/dark/cold of the NE USA.
If I had to live year around in NE USA, I'd learn to watch TV....

We could do with a bit of rain here
I have been using my bikes since the beginning of april and only ridden in the rain once.
Normally in april/may in England its pouring down most of the time,we have been lucky for biking this year

DH, I live 4+ years in Ct and although it took me all of those 4 year to spend 1 summer there, I found the weather to be quite reasonable, cept late winter when the wind was blowing in from the sound.
that could be bone chilling specially on the 4 to forever watch |

Yes sir, I have family in Darien. Nice place, but summer is short! ( both days)
I was talked into this past Christmas there, and while I love my family, and my folks were there so it was great, that Christmas day storm had me stuck for 4 days. 85 mph winds off of LE-NY Sound.
Felt outstanding to be back in NC, then Savannah, a few days later....
Off topic, but FANTASTIC mussels Fra-Diavlo, at Rowatin (sp) Seafood near Darien. Best I've EVER had!

Unfortunately some folks here in La. are getting flooded as a result of all that rain. I live about 30 minutes from the Atchafalaya basin where alot of water is being drained into. No danger of me getting flooded but many are |
