Has anyone tried the valve cover bolt seals from georgefix? I purchased a set for 900f from him and they appear to be different than the old ones. They put an awful lot of squeeze on the VC gasket. This is what they look like:

Those are the ones that I've used (2 sets, need to get 1 more set), they work nicely so far for me.

TAS also makes a nice Valve Cover Gasket, as well.

Yup, on my CBX.. No leaks. I even saved Georgefix as a favorite seller.

I have those and the VC gasket from georgefix on my bike. VC gasket started leaking at 5000 miles, about 1000 after the second valve check. But, considering the price, I'm not complaining. I'm going to replace the VC gasket with the stock Honda gasket from my spare engine and install new bolt seals from georgefix to see if it lasts any longer. Honda bolt seals are too expensive

You dont have to tighten them down all the way to the stops. With new bolt seals I tend to just tighten as far as necessary to put in enough squeeze to make the gasket work. Then if they compress over time you have a little more squeeze left to use.

I have found, that a good supply for those seals, is off the early v6 buick, off the rocker covers, just a matter of removing the GM stud and using your own.Smile
