Well, I will believe it when I see it, but the plan is to have one of the greatest F bikes known to mankind in my garage tomorrow, and I plan to make it better...
And I will ride it!

This better not be an April Fools joke.
Guessing that is Mike Velasco sitting on the bike. Obviously tons of mods from the very beginning. |

I'm taking it that things have picked up at your work or you won the lotto?
I love the S pipe & can on that bike.

Not a joke, that would be Howard Abel (not Mike). |

Long story, but I was not in a position to buy this bike 10 years ago, but my friend Bob was. He promised to give me first dibs if he ever sold.
That would be a flame bent pipe hand built by Kaz Yoshima.
Bike is in the back of my pick-up as I type....

Well in the near term it is going to get Da Slayer's engine. I don't think I want to use up this engine on a long haul... |

here is an article written on it from back when he originally built it.
This is what it looked like when Howard was done (before Bob bought it).

You say "use up" like there is only a tank of gas left in it.. |

From recent conversations, really built up engines can be a harsh ride. I was lucky enough to try a friends 1123 once.
I could see it being a long day if it wasn't all relatively straight highway. Was that the reference? |

It would be tempting for sure. The engine in the bike is coming out to get the head rebuilt (new guides and grind). In the meantime this engine is going in.

Yes, I have known Bob for about 34 years. I actually made the connection for him on this bike about 10 years ago. I had known Howie for a couple of years and he offered me the bike. I didn't have the money at the time (divorce) but Bob did. |

Negotiations between friends on a pleasant evening over good scotch, no doubt. Nice machine. It is in my collection of rotating desktop and screensaver pics. |
