He could be overseas. His job sometimes takes him out of the country and he's out of touch with us for a while. |

I am looking for he shows a Yoshimura big bore engine kit on his 900F
It has an 1125cc stage 3+.
Yoshimura (OMT) built engine done back in 83. Yoshimura header,
33mm CR carbs, Dyna ignition,
The Yoshimura engine has dozens of modifications including extensive
porting, head, crank, rod, clutch, and transmission work.
It utilizes the 1100F crankcase, 1100 cylinders (bored to 1125), special pistons, 1100
modified rods, lightened crank(in my case a Falicon crank), special ground cams, special heat treated
cam/primary chains, and a complete balanced assembly. This work cost
thousands back in 83!
I am the second owner of this bike, there is a AMP sticker on the swing arm, the first owner mentioned he went with a Yoshimura ket for the shop he rand his work though was know for racing Suzuk's, out of Yadkinville,NC Tom WILSON
anyway, I am looking for tech or any other info
Thanks

I bought the OMT bike from Martin about 3 years ago. If you would like, I could send you a detailed list of her history and upgrades.
Martin is a great source for the tech info.
Edit; Man, dude you got in there just as I was typing my own response. |

I guess so. When I rode her, she definitely was NOT as smooth as Da Beast, but she did pull pretty damn hard. |

It did not have the mid range of Da Beast but to me it always felt like it had more on top.
The OMT stage 3+ was a great build which could not be matched today. Kaz had access to all the trick RSR parts like special heat treated cam and primary chains. He also used select cases that no one really knows how Honda made them special. I think his cams are extra special as they have a very unique profile that is about as radical as you can get and still keep the shim under bucket (he also had a hotter SUB cam).

Yeah, that will be one for the ages... Most of Da Beasts play time was 5k to 8k....lotsa torque on tap when rolling out of corners. All I may remember from this scotch addled brain of mine, is you never telling me that you had to straddle the gas tank in the first 2 or 3 gears on the OMT... trying to keep the front wheel on the ground. Im a fat arse, so that isnt an issue with me. I only had a chance to ride her once or twice, when she came on the cam, she was impressive.... very impressive... You may be right Stout, wish we had a chance to dyno them side by side.
The OMT is worth every penny...She is Da Beotch, thats for sure.....
I forget, but are you going to put 41s on Da Slayer?
Good seeing you today My Friend.... |

One thing for sure is the difference between these two bikes is in the scary test territory!
(Thanks Glenn!) |
