Who needs euro controls with a push to pass button? That is what your right hand is for.... Twisted Evil

So I got the bike registered today and took it for its maiden voyage tonight after work. I was able to get about 15 miles in before the sun went down and my belly got rumbling. Dam does it pull.... My 750 shadow was a stick in the mud compared to this snotty little 4 cylinder even though it only has 150 more CCs. There is nothing like coming out of a town into an open stretch of road and a 55 mph speed limit. Very Happy

The compression was bad and a leakdown test was just depressing, but it ran so I guess that's a good sign. Besides it only had 8,881 miles on it. I was ripping on it pretty hard because this is the first time it's been out on the road since 2001. Hopefully it just needs a good run and then a nice fresh oil change and valve adjustment.

Are you going to the spring ride next month? Looks like it is in your neighborhood.

I was hoping to get out and ride with you guys yeah. It kinda depends on how well the bike runs in the next couple weeks. I still have a few things to get in shape to make it worthy of riding for 2 days straight.

On the list is new rubber, and that will most likely involve a set of F2 wheels. I also need to do something with my front end since the forks are soft as shit. I haven't decided what to do yet. I really wanted to use teh F2 front end but both sets of tubes I have ended up being shit. Evil or Very Mad I am indesperate need of brake lines and they will have to be done before I ride any significant distance too. So providing I can keep my bank account in the black in the next couple weeks and get some miles on the bike I will be there. Very Happy
