Yeah.
Well, except for that rear fender.
And do I see plumbing for linked brakes? |

Either that or some sort of anti dive. Knowing Honda it is linked (yech) brakes.

what do you guys have against linked brakes?? when done correctly, I rear that they can be a huge help on the street. they just need to make them defeatable for the track.... because this is a HUGE track bike.
Dont know about the linked brakes.... |

Whoa.... What's the story on this CB1100? I didn't know they were Stateside yet?? Did you here it run???
I do see lots of potential to modify it.. Indeed!
Fuel injected, Nice.. Pods or better yet, Velocity stacks would work on this bike.. |

I'm with melchiro, where'd you see it?
I'd like to get a closer look and I'd probably take a check book which
would be a big mistake for my check book. |

From the stripes on the tires, it must not have any miles on it. Was it fresh out of the crate at a dealership? |

I was hoping it was going to do something for me. But it's not. I doubt seeing it in person will help much.
Too bad they wasted the CB1100 name on it. At least they didn't designate it an F. |

It looks like a misfit red tank, silver side covers, chrome fenders and what`s going on with those head pipes do they come that way.
The only thing that might be good if Honda comes out with some clothing with CB1100 on it.I would think going from a 1983 to a 2010 would be a large step back in overall looks just another bike in the crowd . |

the tail sucks, the front fender sucks, I wonder if they will sell the exhaust for the older bikes as an upgrade? Looks like the best part! |

oh CRAP - I didnt know anyone looked at ADV rider..... either that or its google gremlins. Either way - Ive been discovered!!
No, nope, never saw the bike. There is a guy on ADV rider that has seen it the last few weekends in Irvine and they brought out the F and the CB1000F to see what people think.
Frankly, Im surprised at how much everyone here doesnt like it! I think it actually a pretty cool mix of the SOHC bikes and the very last years of the F bike. Thats just me of course.
My biggest disappointment would have to be the rumored 87 bhp of the thing - CMON! the 1983 version made WELL over 100 bhp. What the funk |

I'd guess that the difference is the way the HP is measured: SAE to DIN change over time, as has whether its measured at the crank or the rear wheel...... plus after all these years there's probably less "brochure horsepower" posturing...and more inclination to under-state the numbers to appease the nanny state....
I'm guessing that point-to-point it'll beat any one of our bikes!
Personally it just looks like a generic retro bike...no relation to any F styling - all that chrome and the rear treatment makes me think more LTD/custom than sport bike |

Your all killing me again... Where does this bike say F on the name? Because its an 1100cc it has to be related to the F?
This is a SOHC, Custom styling to me, not F... But I never heard anyone from Honda say it was an F.
Why are you all calling it an F?? Stop already.
This version looks better,
But stop calling it an F... its a CB1100 |

I like the CB1100, the Mugen cafe version is great.

Dood, I thought they called this the 1100F when the prototype for this and the 1100R were unveiled. Also, I completely agree on the SOHC/Custom DOHC styling.

That's because you love fairings so much so you're always thinking about them. |

ya know the sad thing is, I now own THREE bikes with some kind of flap that deflects air - I dont know if the XR650R's tiny little thing counts but you critics, Im sure, would think so.
Ironically, the only naked bike I have left is the 400F |

Normally, no, it wouldn't count. I can make an exception for you and your fairing-loathing past. I would guess that a screen on a dirtbike is more for dirt (duh) as opposed to wind, so maybe you get a free pass on that one after all.
Back to the topic at hand, I personally don't care much for that CB1100 fairing as it reminds me a lot of the SHOEI (sp?) fairing in the way it stands apart on the bike and doesn't blend in. |

For the first time in over a year, today I re-loaded Episode 1 to re-play and here it is mentioned on the F board.
How weird.
Having a gravity gun strapped to the front of a motorcycle would be ... interesting. "Outa my way cager!" |

Why couldn't honda follow kawasaki's lead and build a cool sporty retro like the zrx1100-1200?Old school looks and modern running gear? No thanks, I'll keep my 1100f and be happy with it
