Too sad.
Spent some quality time with him at the '06 Hoot.
Thoughts go to his family and friends.
Ride on.

Spook sure loved his 1100F. I remember his search for the perfect trailer to have it travel in. At the Honda Hoot it was so full of parts it was like being at a Honda dealership.
Rest in Peace! |

I was deeply saddened to hear this news. I had the pleasure of finally meeting Mark after several conversations with him at the Hoot a few years ago. He had a great sense of humour that kept us laughing as well as a strong passion for his F unmatched by anyone I know. Who else has fans setup in their garage to cool of their bike after a ride? Perhaps extreme to some but it demonstrated his strong love for his F and he maintained it in showroom pristine condition. He was a stand-up guy and a man of his word.
He will be missed.
RIP Mark.
We never know when our time is up so live each day to its fullest. |

For those fo you who have never met Mark, he's the one in front row 1st on the left.
Mark was a great guy, when I first met Mark at the Honda Hoot 06 he helped me out with parts I needed for my F bike. Stand up guy and had quite the sense of humour. One night after a day of riding ,we were all in the parking lot of our hotel sharing a few laughs and wabbly pops, this old fella and 2 elderly ladies walked passed Mark to got their room...When Mark saw this fella going into a room with 2 women he yelled to the guy "way to go man ! It was the funniest thing I ever saw.The old guy didn't have a clue what he was talking about. We all were laughing our asses off.....
Rest In Peace Mark, and may the good Lord keep your family strong in this difficult time.

Thanks for posting that picture Rick - brings back some good memories.
Here's another of Mark enjoying the hell out of his red 1100F on the Dragon;
Mark was indeed a character. He will be missed. |

I never had the priveledge to meet him but from what I've read from others, it was my loss.
I pray for peace and comfort for his family at this time. Our life is but a vapor, make the best of it every day.

In a GREAT number of ways. I think I sorta followed the same path as Spook did when things got so muddled here. It just wasn't the same bunch of good 'ol boys that started the party anymore when I quit hanging out. Personalities and a basic need for peace started weighing heavily on a lot of folks, me included. I've had a lot to deal with over the last few years, and I really miss a lot of you guys. I regret that I'll never get the chance to banter or speak with Mark again, that is for sure. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed.
You guys who know me personally...know for sure that my door is always open, and you'll always receive a happy welcome should you find your way up my mountain. I hope we can ride and enjoy the company again sometime soon. Take care brothers! |

Kristen called & I gave her the sad news. She wanted me to relay her condolences. I have discharged that duty.
Y'all may curse me as much as you wish, but I am who I am, and humor is the way I deal with things. That said, Mark should be happy, 'cause the bike won't get dirty for a little while!
RIP, spook, you picky, well-loved F'er. TB |
