How many have used, rode, with a Greer fairing? Handle well? Good protection? Used the lower section? Search turned up many "older" posts with some for sale, or bought. Very little about how members liked, or disliked them. Frank |

Back in '85 I bought, painted and installed a Greer fairing on my then new 82' CB900F. I bought it used from a mechanic at the local Honda dealer who had it on his 1100F. He traded his 1100F in on a 1100 Sabre I think and didn't need the Greer anymore.
I had the whole fairing with the lowers. Looked killer in '85. Not much protection from cold or weather. The main problem I had was the windshield area of the fairing, where the mirrors mounted flexed and vibrated badly, cracking the paint and making the mirrors useless. Nice on a retro bike but in my opinion I wouldn't spend the money again on another.
Maybe some one else had better luck. Ron |

I have not used a Greer, but I would love to get an attractive and effective fairing for my 750. The ones that I like the looks of all seem too small to make much of a difference. It is cold, and wet here on the Oregon coast. Does anyone have any recommendations? |

I've always wondered about the protection offered by the CB1100RC and CB1100RD fairings. The screen seems to have a decent amount of coverage and they look good. You can go all the way or just use the upper (my preference). Are copies being made and if so, what is the quality? |

Sure, a Hondaline, mine has effectively extended my riding season by 4 months/year..
Riding below freezing, isn't a problem now, and it keeps you super dry in the rain too... |

I checked the link but all I saw was a replica of the CB1100RB fairing which was essentially the same as the Hondaline fairing. I was curious if anybody makes a repop of the RC or RD fairing.
Thanks anyway Cool Avatar Guy. Tdem has competition. Maybe we could throw the girls in a mudpit and let them determine the winner! |

Hmm, I thought they did replicas of all the R models. I see the RB seat is discontinued, maybe the RC-RD parts is NLA also. |

I really like mine. The fairing itself isn't made (including copies) anymore. If you need a new wind screen for it you can get those from Gustefsan (phonetic spelling!). I use the full faring and like it for the looks. |

Mead Speed had a fire about a year or so ago and it destroyed the molds of the seat cowls. |

I use the upper part and like it a lot. The bike is a lot more stable at speed than with the nose fairing. The lowers seemed to make the engine run a lot hotter, and I don't like the look much. |
