Mine are still original and I have been thinking the same thing, what I will change to. On my old GL1000 I used those thick foam rubber ones with the chrome ends, great for long trips and I have big hands.
Since I always wear gloves on the CB750 I'm looking for thinner but still comfy grips, one of the ones with all the rubber flutes perhaps. |

I use the big grips with the chrome ends on my Customs, but I have a set of NOS Honda grips for my 11f |

These are the best grips I've ever had. Randakk's Grips. Everyoen who touches them are simply amazed and get a set for themselves.

I just got a set of Part Unlimited Laser Street Grips for my 900, which came with big ol squishy foam grips. These look a lot like the OEM grips (but cost a lot less). The rubber seems just a little harder then the stock grips and they are not molded as precisely, but I think I will like them.

Yeah they are ok,dhoff.........those are what I just took off my 900F.
They were war-torn and the raised part had gotten slippery to my leather gloves,I could've ruffed up the grips with sandpaper a little but they were just too old and done for.
Good luck with them. |

Hey Flea Bit Monkey why don't you keep your political views to yourself. I don't think they belong on this site. Does anyone agree with me? |

You'd better not wander over to the great beyond then, might really send you for a loop.
Anyway...
I just used a set of half-waffles from the local honda shop. |

What is this, Russia?
Those Randakk's Grips look good and have good reviews. A little pricy but maybe when the wife is happy with me I'll ask her if I can spend a little of my money on a pair.
Although it would be kinda sad to have the grips be the best part of my bike... |

the stock grips are a little small diameter for me, guess it depends on what you are used to gripping... |

The problem is the length on a stock "F". The later sportbikes are all shorter than ours,so not very many choices like there were some 20 yrs ago.
My favorite were called Gran Turismo, real common on Triumphs of about 70's vintage. They had a grip inside another one to give it a cushioning effect. You cannot buy these anymore.
Most grips are now just a single layer with different "look" on the outside,at least the length that fits these bikes.
The Oury grips I used on the drag bikes had a "tacky feel" that helped you hold on to it,but the throttle was not stock,ie dirt bike length. |

The Randakk's Grips are made in the correct length for our bikes.
