Effects of smaller front wheel on handling

Found this article in Sept 83 issue of "Cycle" magazine relating to the effects of 16 inch front wheels on handling.

This article was written as front line sport bikes were being fitted with smaller 16 inch front wheels instead of the 19 inchers that preceded them.

These effects relate directly to the "Super F" CBR mod as the principles are the same.

We have discussed this issue on the board in the past so an article like this is interesting to see what was thought "back in the day"

it was all about the decrease in the gyroscoptic effect as a result of using the smaller front.

Maybe with those 13" scooter wheels these bikes could finally handle like a modern sportbike?
