Well tomorrow I hit the big 50.
I want to have a nice quite day with the family. We are all jumping on the bikes and heading out east. No where special in mind maybe Montauk Point or the Orient Point. Maybe check out the light house or something but heading out that way, going to stop for a nice lunch somewhere and get back on the road. Just ride, the day is supposed to be in the high 80’s so it’s a perfect day. Stop off at a winery or two then have some lunch. Then do some more riding. On the way back we are going to stop off at a really nice steak house for dinner, steak and lobster tails my son will most likely have his chicken basket or burger. Head home and open presents.
I don’t want any big party or celebrations just want to spend time with the family riding. |

Early Happy Birthday. Theirs nothing to turning 50. Other than your Hair falls out faster, you hurt more when you get up in the morning, you go to the doctor more. But other than that theirs nothing to it. Tattoo |

Happy Birthday Spike! Sounds like you've got a great day planned with the family! Ride safely, please, and we'll see you in a few weeks, and we can celebrate my 52nd (and your 50th, belated) at the Spring Ride. My sister will be there, it'll be a couple of days before her 49th. We can swap lies, and have a couple of beers (after the bikes are bedded down). Man, we're gonna have fun! |

Happy B-Day Spike. You should have great weather tomorrow.
Personally, I'm not happy about being 50, but it sure beats the alternative... |

Well not to turn this into a long story the day was great did not go out east just stayed local and rode which was fine .
Went to lunch and than dinner the bike WAS running good.
About 9:30 pulled into the driveway shut the bike off went inside to get a drink can back out to start it and it was DEAD Wait it does not end yet. Checked the charging and the battery at 4 grand was charging at 17.89 volts R/R right thats what I thought switched R/R with Peggys bike same thing rotor is working cause the light gets bright .
I said I was not going to let this rune my night put it all back together and on a charger for 10 minutes to get her started to put her in the shed. This is where it gets reallllllllly good. Got her started and went to drive her into the shed bike almost stalled pulled the clutch in lost my balance and 2 seconds or less the bike was upside down dented tank broken mirror scrathed up casings. I got a big gash in my arm.
And now a bike that won't start |

O.K., show of hands. Who's done more damage to their bike getting it our or putting it away than on the road?
Sorry to make light of your misfortune, Emil. Sometimes you just gotta choose between laughing at yourself or shooting everything in sight then setting it on fire. I feel your pain in more places than I care to mention . Hope your arm heals up quick and you get that bike on the road again soon, riding weather is just gettin' here, you know.
