How much is regular per gallon in your area? I paid $3.12 yesterday and saw it for $2.99 today. [regular]. Now if I only had some work |

3.83 on average here!!!
This while Alaska produces 15 percent of all the oil produced in the US. After adding in imported oil Alaska's contribution is 5.5% of all the oil consumed by the US.
Why the hell do we have such high gas prices up here! No refineries producing gaoline for our vehicles is why. The refineries up here are mostly producing jet fuel. The bulk of our gasoline is shipped in via tankers.
Alaska is a beuatiful place to live and has lots of opportunity but the NIMBY folks keep us from having infrastructure that is taken for granted elsewhere.
Oh well, I guess I'm just venting beause my truck is empty and I need to fill up today. cha- ching cha-ching!

Was a one-off this year only and yes it was specifically aimed at helping with the high cost of energy (Natural gas, Electric and Fuel).
With that in mind (if I applied it to fuel only), my price would be 2.83 per gallon for one of my vehicles but not all of them.
There is an investigation going on up here to see if there is any wrongdoing on the reason our fuel prices are so high.

Utica NY. the price is 3.00 and dropping. Last look at oil prices, a barrel of crude was below 70 bucks due to large surplus. A silver lining to slow econ. is less demand for fuel.
Just an opinion, Tom |

I'm calling it quits this weekend. I need to store my bike away from home since I have no garage, The leaves are coming down fast and riding around my neighborhod is getting less and less appealing, it's time for the big sleep.
It was one of my best years biking, great rides with many of you guys!
I'll be keeping myself in the game with a build in my basement. |
