What ever you do rukus, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN CAMSHAFT TIMING ADJUSTER BOLTS or CAMSHAFT COVER BOLTS!!!!!
Go here to order parts.
www.powersportspro.com
Buy some gaskets, 1 being the oil sump pan gasket. because you are going to take it off and clean the crap out of it... & hopefully not find any mission critical engine guts. (See Winter Project 2), the other being the front cam chain adjuster oil seal..... real small circular seal thats almost impossible to see on Sports Pro. Its under Cam Chain adjusters, part # 19
Next buy a Camshaft cover gasket, because YOU are going to check and adjust ALL SIXTEEN valves...with our help of course...
Ill let the other F'ers post some more tidbits that you are going to experience.... |

The purpose of this forum is for people to ask questions and get answers. I think if you stay specific on what you are looking for help on you will be better off. Like if you need help with your master cylinder post a thread about it. If at the same time you need help with your ignition post another thread on it. If you try to do too much in one thread it gets confusing for the people who answer you to follow. Also remember to post your results. If you start a thread on how to get your master cylinder working again and we help you out with it we can point others to the thread when they have the same issue. Your thread becomes a "how-to" in other words.
Pictures will help!! If you are unaware of what part is what it will be easier to show a picture instead of trying to describe it. Also the picture may point out things that need attention that you would have over looked.
I can see from your other posts that you have picked up a bike that is not running and needs some help. This site is here for you. I personally love helping people like you get their bikes running again. So fire away!
A checklist I think may be good to follow...
1. Make sure engine is sound
2. Get engine running
3. Get charging system working
4. Make sure tires are road worthy
5. Get brakes working
6. Make the bike look better |

The search function is very handy, but somewhat clumsy to use.
When searching use more than one word and use the word "and" between them.
This will drasticaly reduce the search field....
If you can find what you need there then feel free to ask. |

I am jealous of Canuks, I have to admit....
I wonder what its like to breathe air and have it not be killing you.... or have health care. Both of those are bizzare thoughts to me.
As is snow. |

Maybe you are going to have to make the 3rd Annual Halcyon Hot Springs ride and find out.....

Do you see any signs of man in the background.....? Imagine that for miles on end.... |

One other thing to add here Mrukus....you will also find many other people hijacking your thread to start other discussions within it, as you have just experienced. It is very normal, especially from your fellow USA F'ers. We Canuk's just try to keep everyone else inline here!! |

Pay no attention to this, Mrukus....
It's yet another example of the Canadian Plot For World Domination. |

YES VERY TRUE, and we are succeeding! It first started with us getting the CDN / Euro 1100's, then with our superior beer and whiskey, we have one of the worlds largest oil fields, we dominate in hockey, did I say beer?, and the latest I heard was that we will be getting the CB1300SF, NOT the USA! OK, maybe not the last item but it could be true. |

yeah, sitting in a hot spring with a bunch of mostly naked doods really makes it seem worth the two weeks on the bike...
