Damn its cold

it has been in the low 60's in the mornings here for the last few days, and I'm freezing my butt off, it may not seem that cold to the rest of you but since May 1st it has been 100+ up until last week, this cold front that came through can leave anytime now, I miss running around in a tee shirt, with a 50 degree temp change this realy sucks

Its been in the 80s here. Which is insane for October in NJ. It is nice, went to the beach the other day, and went for a nice ride. But I do like to snowmobile. At this rate it will be March before we see a decent storm.

Low 60's? You Arizona guys make me laugh..... we went below freezing the other night, and the high on Friday was 47... time for winter projects!!

It has been at 90f here in central IL for a few days, but a few weeks ago during a bike trip it was in the low 40's while camping overnight. I froze my butt off for two nights, then wrecked my bike on the way home and continued to freeze myself stiff trying to finish the ride while injured.

Definitely too hot for October around these parts.

Put 100 Miles on the bike yesterday and the high temp was 43 degF. Had a dusting of snow (our first snow and early too) but the roads cleared up so I went for wnat may be my last ride this year.

Notice the white stuff in the driveway behind my bike Shocked

Oh and yes it was cold. Shocked

Thank god for warm riding gear. The aircooled engine just loves the cold and seems to make gobs of power when it is like this.

That bike of your griz is just right Cool

I`m living closer to the california desert and it is different from the valley.
I find I pick my nose more and its chiily cold at night and warm/hot in the daytime.
Allot different then the valley.

There's a heat wave here in Buffalo and I'm grateful. They say that last year at this ime there was ice everywhere.

It's 85 degrees here in Central PA today - breaks the previous high record for this time of the year (81 degrees in 1949).

Yeah, poor Seattle Seahawks were sweating their arses off when the Steelers kicked butt yesterday. I was thinking about you guys being able to ride in that nice wether while watching the game. Went out on my ride from 1pm - 4:30pm during the "heat" of the day.... hahaha Razz

"Global Warming" must be selective...... cause we are having an early winter here. BTW Griz that view from your house is awesome! I thought I had a good view till I saw yours......

You know when I moved from Sacramento to the southern Utah desert I noticed the same thing..... Almost every morning I wake up the first thing I have to do is unplug both nostrils. It is enough to drive you crazy!

Naw that is not my view and its not my house and probably costs least 3 million smakeroos.... which as you can guess is outta my league. I have a freind who lives across the street and has this view. It is indeed awesome!! Just drove up there to get the view and the snow rather than my in my yard:

Shit man, back in the 70's when I was growing up on Long Island, we had Indian summer days in November and I can remember in '75 wearing shorts in January because it was 72º. The yards all turned into mush because the frozen ground thawed out.
Out here we get weeks in January of 90º+ temps and have to use our AC in the winter time and all you suckers have to use the heat. Neener neener. Razz

If your daily aveage is say 75F and the temp drops 50 degrees in less than a week and you are at 25F now you can't say your not cold, here in Phoenix we have been 100F for more than 120 days so a 50 degree drop is damn cold for us

Roy I guess it's all in what you're used to. At least you can ride more than 6 months of the year w/o freezing your giblits off.... I envy that.

Man the nights and mornings can be really cold down there from my experiences.

It is colder there during those times than the cold I am used to! Wink

I'm part Cherokee, and I have no problem with the term Indian (although I am not technically an Indian). I think it is quite flattering to be mistaken for someone from India (insert cliche Indian head wobble).

Riding in the cold is the shiz. Gotta get a bypass for my oil cooler though. I wish I could be ridin up there in Alaska. Always wanted to go there but that's a loooooong trip through Canada.
