Just calling roll for who's going to be out there this year. I'm going to be on a borrowed bike this time since I'm not riding all the way up there just to have something stolen again and not be able to get back home. So, anyone going? |

Look at my list of bikes and note that I wasn't so lucky last year and nearly thought of not going this year for that reason. It took me 9 months and a shameful amount of money to build the bike they took from me. But, yeah, MotoGP is cool and I am fortunate enough to at least be able to attend. |

I think AJ {eatpasta} is going to be working there.
We won't be going, it is gonna be too hot and 300 miles is too far for me to goto a race that I have to sit in the hot sun without airconditioning.
Besides when I was on my way there two years ago, I had a severe meltdown of a couple pistons due to a broken pipe at the collector of a Vance & Hines POS exhaust system and feel the route is jinxed for me and I am not meant to be there. |

I remember that and feel your pain. But I think my stolen bike trumps your meltdown - but not by much. |

Yes, I will be working on the paddock team this year. I will be arriving Thursday and leaving Sunday morning (hopefully) for Canadia.
We should meet up at some point. I still dont know exactly what my assignments will be, but I am doing track patrols Thursday, Friday and maybe saturday night. So you can see me ride my ugly Beemer on the track!

I'll be there, me and my buddy on 750-Fs. Coming in on Thursday, leaving Wednesday. Look for us at Canary Row Bike Night. Last year, we found a spot on Friday night, but got there to late for Saturday night. Monterey PD would not let anymore bikes in after 5:00pm. In an ocean of plastic covered crotch rockets, all looking the same, there we were, representing proudly! Funny how all of the youngs guys don't know what they are. |

I'll be there as well. I'm going to leave early friday on my 1970 CB 350 K and stay till monday. This should be one very slow trip riding the 350. Possibly the slowest in history.
Can't wait.

I wish I could. But I am starting a new job, and the trip I was planning is out.
Next year. And, it should be a paid vacation too. |

Fer sure, I'm going, this'll be my 10th year straight (remember WSB?), only drove up in a cage one time (with a girl, too, what was I thinking?!) and that was a huge mistake, washes the experience right away somehow.
I try for a different route each year, but always do the Cambria to Monterey heading North on PCH. Ragged Point to Big Sur is F'ing awesome!
Heading in on Friday, but staying in Salinas, throwing a BBQ at the Laurel Inn right off the 101 for a bunch of fellow Honda employees.
This'll be the first trip for the 1100F but I think she's ready. At any rate, I'll be rolling with a few Honda technicians so they can look after her if things turn unexpected.
Keep an ear out for Big Blue, the V&H really rips. You'll know her from the dented tank and engine crash bars courtesy of Papaluker .
Hope to see some of you up there!

Yes Eric, a stolen bike does trump a meltdown because I got to keep and rebuild. You wre outright ripped off and my heart still goes out to you.
Have fun at the hot races everyone and drink lots of water.
Peace |

I just hope I can do it this year without looking around every corner for my bike. That's what I'm afraid of - the experiance being ruined by paranoia. But, I'm going to do it anyway. Call it therapy. Yeah, it's going to be hot. It seems like that's the only time of the year that Monterey ever gets hot. At least I don't live there anymore. I wasn't a big fan of Monterey. |

Yeah, sounds good to me. I suppose the Honda booth would be the obvious choice. Maybe right after they fire up Freddies bike - because you know you can't miss that sound or display if you go to MotoGP. |

Sounds good to me .. First time at Laguna, so be gentle .... . Saturday will work best for me, as we have rented bikes and plan on seeing some of the countryside before heading to the track on Friday afternoon. |
