Came across this - not sure I've seen one like it before. Did one of the R models come with a 13K tach?

If the red line is reached at 10,000 RPM, what is the sense in having a 13 thou RPM face??? it might as well be 20 thou.....what am I missing here???  |

I agree.. very interesting... maybe it just goes that high for the cool factor? |

WOW I WANT THAT . This is one of the rarest of items .i believe it to be the 'SPINAL TAP" tach of the early 80's .as you can clearly see it goes to 13 which is like 3 more than 10.

I'll take a stab and say they take it to 13k for race built motors.
Or maybe the engine would ONLY blow between 9,500 and 10,300 but above that your ok  |
