Hi Guys...

I'm an "F"er again... More later after I figure out if this thing is a motorcycle or a boat anchor!! Confused

Low miles but very rough...! And definitely low budget project... Embarassed

Thats great! That bike should clean up very nice.

Hopefully you didn't sell off too many of your spares! You may need to start the search all over again for those hard to find pieces.

Hey Luke, it is good to see you back in the F'n garage.
Call me when it is time to work on that beast and I will bring my carburator & valve adjusting tools so your bike at least runs well since it is gonna take more than my help for the way she looks.
When are you and Lee going for that ride?

Alright Luke its great to see you got a sweet 1100 to keep your hands dirty! I can't wait to see what you do to this thing... Just because its low budget doesn't mean you can't work your magic on this sweet RED 1100f! I don't know if you saw my blue 1100 I picked up but its pretty comparable to the condidtion of your new bike.

Anyway its great to see you posting again, now get to work on this bike and lets see what happens!! Very Happy

I am pretty sure I have an extra one. If that tank I bought from Ray has one (I think it does) you can have it luke.

That's the bike....!!

It is 4500 miles but very, very rough.... I talked the guy down to hauling away for hime at about 25 cents a pound

After getting it home & washing it up a bit that I found that everything is there except:

1) The side covers - RAT... Still have those Maeir covers you want to get rid of?
2) Turn signals... Got that covered Laughing

3) Starter cover - Need if you have it... Crying or Very sad

4) Ignition switch/key - Need if you have it... Crying or Very sad

and, of course,
5) The holy grail cover that goes between the instruments and over the ignition switch...Making plans to fab up my own if I can't find one... Laughing

No way to save the paint job and the tank is, of course, rusty inside...The Bendix spring doesn't seem to extend when the starter fires or the starter clutch is shot, etc...Seat cover is perfect except for a crack in the pattern... (a little black tape will do for now..)

The good news is that the engine turns over nicely by hand and seems to have a lot of compression...And it has a nice salvageable Russ Collins Racing pipe... Everything else looks like it will clean up and be used for sure

Lee is loaning me a set of levers, starter, and a battery to get her to turn over and hopefully started ASAP...More later!!

ya where the hell did you find that thing? How is it possible it keep the front tire under water and not the rest of the front end??

I believe I have a fuse box cover that I will give you for coming to your senses Razz

and buying another DOHC Honda. I also have both red CB1100F side covers for you too if you want them.

Thanks Bob & Ray for the offering availability of Red/White side covers...But I just need some that I can paint seeing as how the rest of the bodywork paint is beyond help and in need of repainting...

I'm checking into signing up for a body & paint class at the local Jr. College and learn how to paint it myself... In the meantime it will wear a flat black paint job until all of the mechanics are straightened out. etc...

I'm in no hurry seeing as how I have no $$$$ to put into her right now as Mr. Harley has consumed my reserves...

welcome back, nice project you have. nothing like an "f" to keep you busy. I thought about buying that one, but a few thousand miles down south is way far, and complicated.

I still have one NOS red side cover I bought from the Honda dealer two years ago and the two that I am offereing you are far from glorious, one has a busted pin. They are free for you to do as you please, I am cleaning house of all my spare parts that I do not actually need anymore.
I will not be using side covers on my next build as it has a CB1100R replica tail cowling. So feel free to take the covers I am offering.
