I had the front forks resealed, and a new reserve valve installed on the fuel tank at a Honda store this week. Now the instrument lights are inop. Bulbs are okay (swapped them around). All the other lights are okay. There's no voltage at the instrument sockets, and I don't have a circuit diagram.
Anyone know what colors I'm looking for in the headlight bucket? Is there a ground unique to the instruments only?

Brown/white wire I think (Hard to read diagram). Check the far right hand fuse. Also shop Manual is in Technical info section. FREE |

Welcome to the site, unfortunatly we here specialize in the F or supersport model.
The site you are looking for is http://www.cb900c.net
However as far as the gauge cluster no there is no unique ground. Check the fuse first then the connector that provides power to all the lights. The ground is a green wire and goes through the whole wiring harness up to the fuse box |

Thanks. I wasn't aware there was a wiring difference between the F and C.

That is not the problem at all. You have a CB900c and claim it as such but, this is a site that is dedicated to the F/Super Sport.
So if you would like to utilize the info here and ask questions, we ask you to refer to your bike as only a cb900 and keep the Custom to yourself. |

Right on and Welcome to F'eaven
This place will have any info you could possibly need about your bike.
You can also go over to www.cb900c.com and find some other Custom, K model and CB750SC Nighthawk people. Because www.cb900c.com is dedicated to all of the 79-83 DOHC bikes. |

There is a gang splice in the instrument panel harness which has a tendency to corrode and break, which is what happened to mine. |

The headlamp fuse holder was loose on the outboard end. Came across it by accident. Thanks for everyone's help. Downloading a schematic off the other site certainly didn't hurt anything, either.
