i know i am asking for trouble here but i have to ask. i have seen lot's of your bikes with the steering dampner ( which looks fantastic) but you all have it mounted on the right hand is that not wrong? how do you adjust it while riding? i have one on my kz900 cafe racer and it is mounted on the left this way i can mke adjustments while riding . unless you have a trottle lock having it on the right makes no sense to me.
o.k let me have it

I have two dampers on the right and one on the left and I never adjust them. They are set to where I feel comfortable and I forget about them.
Doing anything while riding the bike other than concentrating on the road is foolish and why that damper adjustment should be done while standing still.
I have tried to do adjustments while riding and do not like moving my weight into that position to adjust while moving, it is very uncomfortable and un-nerving.

A very good point. Some are on the left and that would be a lot smarter so you could adjust it on the go safer.

Im with Ray... adjusting anything while riding is asking for trouble. It could be people put it on the right so they arn't tempted to adjust it. More then likely it is probably a clearance or mounting issue putting it on the left.

If you're at a point where you have to "fine tune" your steering dampner while riding, you're either a pro racer or you read way too many motorcycle magazines.

Keep your hands on the controls...

well ,when i do ride my KZ900 i do adjust the dampner while riding . you have to remember that not all roads are paved equal. on the way from my house to camp you get a nice strech of newly paved road but after about 20 klms i have to turn into "a country road" not exactly paved we call it sealed and the winter is not kind to it. the road is very very rough but a nice twisty road so i always stiffen up the dampner for that section.
