There are several different types of members here.
1.Some are addicted and check in every day.
2.Some stop by when their bike breaks and they need help.
3.Some join up just to sell their bike or parts.
4.Many have joined and then sold their bikes and moved on. |

I'm hooked bad, too. I always check this site before I look at the news, the weather, or anything else. The F site is the homepage on all of my computers...
Can't live without it! |

I'm one of the shadow lurkers, I check in at least once a day just to keep up on stuff. |

I'm kinda a lurker too.
I like to randomly chime in on some threads, usually about unrelated things or with a sarcastic anecdote.
Well, its not ALL malicious....
Honestly, i'm here browsing the forum at least once a day, usually twice, just quietly trolling for scraps of wisdom and constantly learning about these bikes and their pets (you think you own that bike don't you).
A good number, 5000, and IMHO and actual 5000 ACTIVE members would be a clusterfuck if i've ever seen one. Talk about trouble finding F parts on ebay
Love you guys
Bobby Pirsig would be damn proud.
EDIT
Quakeholio, although i've only spoken with one other Salt Lake City member, i'm originally from Shelley Idaho(familiar?) and you'de be the first from my real home. Thought i'd just reitterate what I hinted at above by kinda introducing myself to a near relative.
Cheers! |

I wonder how many actual "F" bikes are represented by the 5K members.
Did anyone figure up the total, back when we were posting the serial #'s on the 1100's? |

I'm #24 and joined the second day the site was really up and going. I only have 401 posts, but a fair number of friends here. Have met one in person and communicate by PM occasionally with a fair number of others. I'm still suffering from the recent loss of one.
There was a time when it was easy to follow my motto of:
"Every post, every day!" Boy that was the day. Now it is impossible to keep up with all the activity.
I express thanks to all the very knowledgable posters and experts who make this such a worthwhile site. Without their posts, this site would be a shadow of itself. Certainly, if I mentioned some, I would neglect others, but I think Soni, Stout, Fast 8-Legs, Larry, Blues, Rat, PoppaLuke (don't go) and a few others are those we all agree with. (Also, thanks to a fairly new Alazka whoever that is helping update the e-bay threads).
As to you Glenn, you have created a monster of a site. It remains particularly civil and pleasuarable to visit.

I'm here every day too, even though I don't post much. I find it especially addictive in winter.
Anybody else ever wonder just how much of our employers time is used up every day cruising this site? All for a worthy cause, of course... |

Another #1 here. Just can't go to bed without my daily fix. Trying to keep up with all the posts otherwise, would be next to impossible. |
