Are any of you guys still using the original fuses?
I've just gone through and replace mine.
The head light was giving me problems, fuse wasn't the problem. although it metered good when I pulled it out of the holder the end cap came off. same with my spare. |

The replacement availability issue with the stock fuse made me switch to the automotive plug in type. |

most auto parts stores have barrel type fuses still and will continue to be for a long time. |

The original fuses on mi bike drove me crazy one time about 3 years ago ,all of a sudden i had no guage power , tail or blinkers
After stripping down the entire bike harness i finally checked the fuses .
A bunch fell apart
That prompted me to change all the fuses in all the bikes and the cars we have.
But even after changing the fuses in my GPZ1100 it failed to have power to anything after letting it sit a year .
The oddessey battery was still fully charged but no juice to anything .
A quick cleaning of the fuse block got the power flowing again |

I already have like a box full of the little bastards, so I never thought about going to the trouble of replacing them when I have a steady supply of them.
Checkers, Autozone, and even WalMart carry them.
Who says they are going to stop?
Hell I can even find the old BUss fuses in gas stations.
And yes, I have had a few fail on me and fall apart. And I carry some with me, just in case. |
