The Honda factory paint code is: PB-126C-A as per the decal for the Canadian spec CB1100F-D of 1983 vintage.

Take a look at toyota`s "stellar blue" ..I never brought a part in to compare but it looked like a dead ringer for the honda blue. |

I can find the paint code PB-126C-A but putting that in at color rite returns "No Match" searching for blue will show all kinds of honda blues but not Candy Pearl Kapiolani Blue or Candy Pearl Capiolani Blue.
So I was really wondering if some one has actually got touch up paint in hand for the blue.
I am going to an automotive paint supply store after work with a side cover to see if they can match it |

This same topic came up a few months ago. I believe it was determined that Color Rite had discontinued the 1100F Blue. Don't know if anyone found an alterntive source for that paint code. |

Since blue is slower than red, they discontinued it.
I need to have my red tank painted, the red is sun fading. |

Bryan Brandt in London Ontario Canada is a big fan of the blue scheme and has/is doing his own paint work. The color blue and related scheme I saw only a few days ago looked very much like Honda F bike blue. As in all things paint related it's relative. None of our bikes has matching paint between the panels if you get down to the nitty gritty, at least my red F doesn't and it's all factory paint work. I think Bryan is dealing with BASF as a paint supplier (or has a contact at BASF who is helping him match colors and codes) I hope I'm not speaking out of turn here, but he may be able to help with paint codes and such. I do not know that his blue is a custom mix or not.

I did not see that in my search, but I also did not see that anyone actually had got the paint either.
Thanks

I just spoke to Color Rite directly by phone.
The 1100F Blue, paint code PB-126C-A IS STILL AVAILABLE.
You cannot buy it through the Web site. You can order it by calling them directly:

Tom, it is all in good fun. I am lucky enough to have bitchin bodywork on my blue CB1100 Super F. My red tank like I said is sun faded a little bit and I would like to have it re-shot and Colorite will supply the paint when that time comes.
BTW, I just got back from riding my red CB1123 Super F and let me tell you something, it is much faster than my extremely fast blue CB1100 Super F.
But just for your knowledge, I am going with a round headlight on my red Super F so I will be able to trade bodywork at some point in the future. |

Not only is the white the "secondary" color,..it the base color that is needed prior to the red/blue candy coats being shot over the top of it. Copy that? The white is the base coat for the red and blue top coats.

Glenn, I found all this info (FAQ was one of the first places I went) and I found direct links to color rite MAUI red but I couldn't find anywhere that some one had actually gotten the blue.
I found threads where people had the red in hand but not the blue. So I was checking to see if anyone had actually aquired it. |

This is what freshly painted "Red and White" looks like... this picture sucks compared to what Grumps bike looks like IRL
If Grump still has that bodywork laying around doing absolutely nothing i will be forced to part with some cash |
