Your right its not an F but it is a damm good bike. I had one and loved it. If I come across one in good shape and a good price I might own another.

I always figured Lou Reed was a GPZ fan...

Quote:
I took my gpz out for a ride
The engine felt good between my thighs
The air felt cool, its was forty degrees outside

I rode to pennsylvania near the delaware gap
Sometimes I got lost and had to check the map
I stopped at a roadside diner for a burger and a coke

There were some country folk and some hunters inside
Somebody got themselves married and somebody died
I went to the juke box and played a hillbilly song

They was arguing about football as I waved and went outside
And I headed for the mountains feeling warm inside
I love that gpz so much, you know that I could kiss her

"New York" - "The beggining of a Great Adventure"

"Lou,
Lou,
Lou"

"It's the beggining of a great adventure", That's what my wife said to me.....

"Romeo and Juliet"
"The great American Whale"

I listened to that album quite a bit.
Cool

Yep it is, and Gajudaw, those damn 16" front wheels made that f'in bike feel like it was falling into corners...

Everybody Ive talked to, who had a clue about riding, that owned that bike, hated the feeling...

Thanks for the last summer flashback. Ray will know what I'm talking about. Nice bikes. I watched the #2 connecting rod FLY out of one a couple of years ago.

Lou is a cool dude.

In one of his ?live songs he sings

"get the Honda revved up and you can eclipse even the sun"

Obviously he was singing about a black Honda. Cool

I tested one of those out and alomst bought it insted of my K..... the main objection I had to those is the steering is really heavy at lower speeds..... Got the K which lead me to an F. The natural progression I suppse.... Razz

The correct line is...
"So when push comes to shove, Get the Harley revved up and you can eclipse even the sun, you're paying a price when there's no price to pay, lovers trust, no money down."

He also sings about a Suzuki on the album "Legendary Hearts"

I had a 1984 model, we got the 750cc engine up here, it wasn't a bad bike at all as I remember, nimble, relatively quick, and it had that one thing that F's should have, a sixth gear!
I sold my first blue 1983 CB1100F and got the Nighthawk S, should I be ashamed of myself?
If I knew then what I know now, well, I would still be a maroon! Laughing

Thats the title song: New Sensations
I love that song! Truth be told, I've always loved GPZ's too!
