This is how I purchased it on Ebay late last year.
[web:938f76e6a7]http://www.angelfire.com/mh/ozrott/new_page_1.htm[/web:938f76e6a7]
So far I have had the frame at the paint shop since before Christmas, I think finally I've tied him down to next Tuesday Thats what you get for saying no rush, but still I'm getting it done for the right price so I cant complain.
The motor is cleaned up, with new rings etc, re-painted, bead blasted, and polished. Once I get the frame back I should start to make some progress. |

So far I have mainly concentrated on the motor
Its the second time I have cleaned the casings up
First time I did them it was recomended to me to finish them is this clear coat so as I dont have to keep forever polishing.
Problems arose when me as usual had to put to many coats on, and the casings went a strainge golden brown colour!!
So I had to strip them again, now I dont know what to do with em. |

That looks awesome - if you pay that much attention to detail with the rest of the bike, you'll have a winner for sure. |

Just got my frame back from getting blasted and re-sprayed
I'm happy with the finish, just the 5 month wait and the $340 price blew me away, so I've decided to do the rest myself. I have done the forks and a few other bits and pieces, and I think they are just as good. Will post some pics of them tomorrow. |

Thanks for your support fellas
I got myself a jigsaw and plan to take my time with this one.
I'm ok with most of it, I just dread the electrical! Oh yeah and that "DUMB F#%K" washer! |

Man, there are some things I really like about those Bol D'ors....
The red frame is pretty sweet. I was actually toying with doing something similar. Wonder if anyone's ever done one with a blue frame? |

Hey Brian, I think blue would look cool, maybe a deep blue like the darker parts of your decal would be nice
Nice bike you have there |

Mark, that's exactly what shade of blue I was thinking....
On the 1100 as I go through it, that is.
The 900 that you evidently linked to is going to be treated back
to original paint (+thanx!) |

That motor looks great! But that is way to much labor for me, my motor will be lucky if the 3 covers are left polished and not painted when I am done. I cant wait to see this thing all together, nice work. |

Finally started to put her back together.
Here is the progress this weekend.
Having some problems with a few parts missing (bolts mainly) but other than that it seems to be going together nicely . |

Maaaaate, That looks like it's going to be bloody brilliant! Do you have an 1100F as well? I've just got one that I want to restore but will be looking around for original exhaust and decals for when I get it repainted. Any advice for a fellow Aussie would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Geoff |

I nearly bid on that, but it was too much work for me I'm afraid
Have you looked into the POR15 clear coat for your covers? I think it would be more durable than the rattle can, and won't 'yellow'. I'm nearly ready to do mine and was planning on using it. It ain't cheap tho'.
Nice job on the frame too. Is that powdercoat or 2-pac?
Looking good mate
cheers

Hi Mark,
Your project is really coming together perfect, I love watching pictures on how a project is turning out, keep them coming!
I've never really thought about a red frame, but yours look absolutely perfect! What color bodywork have you thought of using?
By the way, that engine is one nice piece of art too! woow. |

Hi Kenneth,
Thanks for the nice comments, we have a long weekend this weekend so I hope to get a bit more done. Colour wise, weeell............ I am really fighting some demons on this one. I originally started out to restore her to original and well, I'm still on track but I keep looking at different pictures of some absolutely beautiful bikes that some of the blokes here have built and its really making it difficult to stay with my plan.
I figure the only way to satisfy my hunger for a super boldor is to buy an 1100F and do the alterations that I have been drooling over to that.
Explaining that to the other half is my only problem!
This is the colour scheme, and what it should look like; (this is not my bike but its the same)

Add a Gear Sack Rack add a set of balistic exhaust mufflers and change the rear shocks back to original and your looking at my Bike.
Good colour scheme.........well I like it anyway.

Shocks!! You need shocks! It is painful, but you need them. You could polish the cast aliminum tops of the ones on the bike now, but you need shocks.
Are those Dunlop 591 tires? I love my Avons

I Hope this works.
This is one of the pictures that was sent to me when I was buying my bike, besides an oil change and removal of the lambs wool seat cover I haven't had to do anything to it anything.

Howdy Mark, I don't know how I missed this thread before. The bikes looking real good. Have you run the motor yet? It looked a bit messed up when you got it. Is this build related to that frame we were talking about?
Cheers, Daz. |
