holy crap, are you serious? that is absolutely horrible. Im not sure how to respond to this, but hang in there man. People make huge leaps and bounds recoveries from strokes many times and I dont see why your wife doesnt have the same chances.
....again, hang in there man..... your second family is here for ya. |

Wow, I don't know what to say.
Sounds like you need a lawyer though, and the best medical care you can get. I think I'd actually go for the lawyer first, hopefully you'll find one with an axe to grind that will actually help you get the best medical care possible.
Best wishes and prayers for man and wife.

She is in my familys thoughts and prayers , she will be home with you soon and i pray she be as normal as she was.
I wonder if you have a case against the state or department for compensation or something
Meanwhile you keep the faith and positive thoughts coming cause you need to be strong for the both of you |

You and your wife are in our thoughts and prayers. I know you'll be strong for her, she'll need it. I suffered a stroke in November 2004. If ever there was a need for a lawyer, this is it. |

Get a lawyer and follow thru.

Court, i'm sorry to read this about your situation. I do know your wife needs your more than ever so hang in there friend. Be strong and take it slow. You'll need your strenght for the both of you. Like ohters said before, lots of people recover from a stroke, and your wife has the same chances as others have.
And if you can't pull it for that moment, just log on and have a chat with your online family, or use the phone number offered. Make sure to do it, it will help you to keep your head up Court.
Take care, our thoughts are with you and Becki.

I'll be sure to send my thoughts and prayers! This is when your wife needs you to be the best you can, so keep yourself calm and rested as much as you can.
Strokes are a somewhat straightforward thing, but do what you can to read and learn. You never know what you might find out that will help her down the road to recovery. God bless. |

As everyone else has said, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife.
Once things have calmed a little, get us the Hospital's address, and her room number. I'm sure she'll receive more than a few cards...
EDIT: I received PAGES of emails - from people I didn't know other than a mailing list on the internet - when I crashed my bike. Really made my day in the hospital when my wife brought them in. |

Y'all are in our prayers, Court. We're pulling for ya.
My Dad had a series of strokes. It looked bad at first, but he's okay now. He just can't do quite all the things he used to. Still, could've been worse. Chin up, bro. Strokes usually look worse at first than they are. Budd. |

Ok, Court. It happened and there is no choice but to deal with it. She needs love, support, strength and your faith.
You CANNOT DESPAIR!!!!! EVER!!!! Love is deep and powerful. It hurts bad when someone you care about is in danger and it's ok to be scared. If you need to, cry now brother. It's ok. Being a man is sometimes about knowing when to feel deeply. But there is no room for despair. She needs you now more than ever. Having been there when it happened, you got her medical care quickly. That makes a HUGE difference. I know you will take good care of her and I know you guys can tough it out. Love is a powerful thing and can give you more strength than you thought you have in you. Stay strong in your faith, whatever it may be. BELIEVE you guys can make it through this and you will. You have the support of everyone here. We were all perfect strangers at first but many of us would be standing by your side if we were closer. That's saying something. Let your wife know how much support she has and you remember you have us here to talk to if things get tough to handle.
Love and all positivity to you and your beloved wife.

Wow Court, I'm so sorry to be hearing this. Not much I can add that hasn't been said by all the others before me but want you to know if you need any more support, you can count on your long-time Canadian buddy here too.
Try to stay focused and optomistic that all will be alright and give her the encouragement she needs right now. Before you know it, things will improve and with God's help back to normal.
In the meantime you'll both be in our prayers. |
