I LOVE the sound it makes in second gear as I progress from 4k to 7k RPM; there is this high pitch crescendo that sounds almost like a turbo spinning up. I assume its the gears meshing or the timing chain whirling, but whatever the reason it almost makes stop lights bareable. Smile

I pretty much love everything about my F...

I love the way it looks
I love the way it sounds
I love the way it handles
I especially love the look of disbelief that people give me when I tell them it's 24 years old! It's definitely a timeless design...

I had been lusting after a 900F ever since I saw one in 1980. Now that I have one of my own, I don't think I will ever part with it.

All of the above....
plus the comfort. My bike fits me like a glove and i can't imagine a more comfortable riding position.
Which was reinforced in my mind even more after riding my buddies ZX-6 this past weekend. When i got back on my own bike the feeling was indescribable.

Potential

Its neat how a few mods will let you fit up a pair of CBR wheels or the fact that you can toss on some brand new FCR carbs

Im with the engine too. It sounds sewing machine smooth at idle and roars like a lion at WOT Twisted Evil

I love the sound of my new Cobra on the 900.

I love the way she pulls hardest as she approaches redline even after sitting for 15 years.

I think I will love the intake roar of the new CR's, if they ever get off the boat Sad

CR's are a dime a dozen, it is the FCR's that need to come off the boat. And yes I wish that boat would hurry the hell up too because my red bike that is already too friggin fast with CR Special carbs feeding her mixture will be even faster with the FCR's I bought for her as a New Years gift.

Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case. According to our favorite supplier, my 31mm CR's are on a boat somewhere.

I ordered a Cobra and the CR's on the same day. I fully expected to be installing new carbs when I returned from Easter vacation on April 17 and waiting until the middle of May for the pipe.

When I got home, the pipe was waiting for me. It has been installed for a week. I'm just itchin' for the CR's to get here.

BTW, hope you're healing up ok. You "sound" better.

Bill

Mines been off the road for nearly 2 decades and I haven't had the opertunity to ride the old man yet but I love the majestic look of the bike and how the motors prominently displayed instead of buried under plastic paneling in my eyes these bikes are the very definition of what a motorcycles SUPPOSED to look like nough said case closed

I love the fact that it is MINE baby!!! Not the neighbor whom I was jealous of or the guys who park their bikes at work. No man, I love it that I now have another bike of the era that I used to ride before many things prioritized motorcycles out of my life. (Andygro- You and I are on a high that is unsurpassed).

Sure I had toys, snowmachines, boats, 4 wheelers but they just do not compare to the thrill and nostalgia that these Honda SuperSports bring back to me.

Most of all, I love the way these F bikes bring all these members of this forum together. In fact, these bikes (and Glenn) have brought together a worldwide community who shares the love and enthusiasm that is priceless.

Just my thoughts, enthusiasm and now PASSION!!! Cool Cool Cool

I love my girl. The looks are hard to beat. Kinda got that old Muscle Car thing going on. People always ask me about her when I am stopped. No one ever thinks she is 26 years old. Enough power to get me into trouble. Comfortable. Sounds sweet. I don't know. I like everything about her. Hell. I call her a her. I think I am in love. Too bad I cannot marry her. We would have some cool children. Twisted Evil

I like the 'bark' of my bike...... the dammed thing just barks when you get on it and it screams up to 9 grand. Its not so much that high pitched "coffee can" sound of those riced out Civics.... its all business.
Also pretty much what all you guys said.
The look, the feel, the comfort, the power and the timeless design. If you look at it, there really arent ANY bikes on the market right now that could replace one of our F's. The only one that comes close is the Kawi ZRX1200.... thats about it, but that thing is a tiny bit small for me....

I love the fact that if the battery goes flat all it takes to start her is a gentle push, you dont even need a hill!!
(Time for a new battery me thinks Embarassed )
I love it that my girlfriend does not want to ride any other bike than my F.
I love it that there is only one other 900f in Sydney that even comes close to being in the same condition as mine Cool
I love it when she turns heads because she is so good looking and not because she is draped in shiny chrome.
I hate it that every other bloke comes up to me and says "I used to ride one of these" sorry of topic.

The "used to ride one of those" quote gets old real quick. I heard it all the time on my 76F. Followed by "I wish I never sold it." Coming from guys who now say that Harleys are the best things out there. Make up your mind....

I love the surprised look from sportbike riders when I beat them off the line. (After we are across the intersection, they get ahead, but it surprises them anyway...)

I like it because it is not SWATCH watch philosophy.
Buy one fancy looking this season, and next year chuck it away and buy another, because it looks old and completly out of fashion.

This is for life, to be left from father to son Cool

I like the attitude of my "F". It is great when you throttle it up and it roars to life. It reminds me of the roar of a lion. Kind of the ultimate "F you" attitude to all the other wannabes in the asphalt jungle out there.

That is actually "Hardly Drivensome" . Mostly found on the side of the road or in the back of the special accesory sold with them...TRUCKS!

Difference between a Harley and a Hoover.....Hoover's don't suck that much! Smile

I love the fact that my 82' 750F, after sitting for about 10 years just needed minor work and fresh fuel....and she was back on the road. I always wanted the bike...just had to wait for it...WELL WORTH THE WAIT!
