I was drooling over some of the new Honda cycles (aka Too Good For USA). Happened onto this article on the Honda World website, talking about some of their new technology. Seems they have been working overtime on this smart technology that lets both car and cycle 'communicate' with one another, and sense conditions, road signs, and make some of your decision making easier. Its called ASV-3 for "Advanced Safety Vehicle". For both cycles and cagers to all get along.
One example:
Honda DORK-Mobile
For one thing, just look at this dorky motorcycle! If you can call it that. Check out the overhead antenna / lightwand. Maybe you are just clueless like me, and just have no vision for the future, eh? Who, but some scooter luvin freak would drool over this thing? Not sure if this model has it, but I know they have some of the GoldWingys that come with airbags now too.
I work with computers and technology all the time. I program computers, and love working with them. I don't trust them to know how to make all these instant decisions, or make instinct type reactions. Yeah, riding a cycle has risk to it. Not to mention that for this 'advanced safety technology' to work, then every vehicle would have to have it. You would have to have a Dork-Antenna-Wand installed on back of your bike.
Memo to Honda Corporate: Stop blowing millions on dork weinie technology trying to make the motorcycle into a remote-controlled Barcalounger. Just send us the CB1300 and give people what they really want! |

Not too sure what all that technology was doing when you sat on that bizarre thing but I did like the lights. Looks like one of those old people go cart things coming towards you on the road! How on earth are people gonna react when they see that alien monstrosity coming towards them in the middle of the night on a darkened road?
I for one would be very freaked out by the bizarre light configuration on that scooter..... |

The world is turning gay and there is nothing you can do about it.
If we keep putting pansy ass faggots in places of power, they are going to take away our toys and replace them with these.

Easy there tiger, its only a concept bike - scooter thing. I highly doubt you will be seeing these features on sport bikes, if at all. |

What would we REALLY cool is that if when a bike was approaching all the cars were forced to slow down 5 mph and head tward the inside of the lane.... then you would able to fly through traffic!!
Also that big overhead thingie is probably for when in the future if people are running from the law or they are criminals, they just dispach a helo, and it just goes and picks them up..... |

My overhead thingie would have a disintegration cannon mounted on it.
Turn left in front of me? Cut me off? No problem... |

Is it just me, or does the airbag look like some big ass just blew up in your face? |

SSSHH!! If they do, Ray'll want one.
The thing on the top is clearly a shower head. My best guess is that it is to clean off dirty passengers. |

Actually I think the Airbag was developed to answer Americas cry for the CB1300.
Honda is telling us to kiss their ass! |

WHOA NOW!
I would never go that far. They still have the best engineered bikes on the road. I would stick my butt on a honda any day with more trust and appreciation than I could any other brand.
They just don't always have the best ideas. |

You may also find yourself sticking your face into a Honda's butt some day! |
