| Rode the whole year in 1986 on an 85' XL350R, through snowstorms, ice storms, hurricanes and whatever else every day to work and back. Never froze the bike up. Went down a lot though. |

A lot of the time the starter can be freshened up by cleaning and installing new brushes. |
