    Hi,

I bought this bike "brand new". I had just wrecked a nice Honda CB750K, and after several months of trying to figure out what to get next, the owner of my local Honda dealership told me abou this CB900F that was still "in the crate", at a dealer he knew in Va.. We worked out a price, he had it shipped, and I bought it.

I only rode it "on and off" for about a year when we decided to move. I decided then to try and store it in my "then" neighbor's basement. It was only supposed to stay there for a few months, but one thing led to an other, several more moves over the years, and the next thing I knew, 15 years had gone by. My old neighbor tracked me down just before this past thanksgiving (2001), and called me to ask when I would be by to pick up the bike (I was surprised he still had it to be honest - but he did say that it was never in the way where it was, although he now wanted to do something with his downstairs).

When I went to pick up the bike, it was still covered (just like when I left it 15 years before). The battery had been taken out, the brake calipers were seized, and the inside of the fuel tank was UGLY - to say the least.

I got the bike home, pulled the fuel tank for cleaning and "Cream coating", I also pulled the carbs apart to thoroughly clean them, removed and re-did the calipers, oiled the upper cylinders, installed a new battery, new plugs, etc., in order to get her going. Then I did more cleaning.

It's totally original as you see it (except for the mirrors and horns), including the tires. The 3500 miles is true mileage. It runs pretty well, all things considered.

I still have a few small bugs, but nothing to worry about. I had forgotten how much it is to ride, and my 8 yr. old daughterloves going out on it with me - no fear at all.

Damn it's great to have it back.

    Thanks.

    Buck Allison.
