    1982   26,000 Kilometers

    Hello,

Just bought this 1982 CB900F Super Sport on a impulse, (My normal ride is a 920 Virago) a few days ago and I will not be riding it until the Spring.
It shows 26,000 Kilometers (a little over 15,000 Miles) on the clock but I can't verify if that's correct because it has had so much custom work.
The serial number on the frame differs from the engine, so I am not sure if that means its been changed or not. ( I can't imagine Honda not matching the numbers)
It doesn't matter as the thing runs well, very quite at idle with little or no chain or engine noise and is almost scary fast.
Idles a little rough until it gets warm but that could be the cams and jetting, I will know better when I get a chance to play with it over the winter.
I must admit the past owners must have taken care of if because its almost impossible to find even a screw or nut with the typical rounded off head that you would normal find on a 18 year old bike if some home mechanic gets the wrong wrench on it. If you know what I mean.

Mod's that I have found so far on the bike.

Full Hindle (Very quite at idle but sounds great when you step on it)
Custom paint white/red Freddie Spencer colors/pattern (lots of acrylic lacquer and a perfect job, this guy must have been a artist)
Powdered Red frame & powdered Red Rims, again a very good job.
    Steel Brake Lines
Andrews Cams (I think but can't verify)
    Dynojet Kit/ with K&N Filter
    Upgraded Ignition
Progressive springs in the front end.
Shocks (Not sure what they are, but I think maybe S&W)
European Bar & Peg set (Factory)
Matching 1/4 fairing with new smoke windscreen (took it off right away, don't like it on this bike, I will take off the lower part later)
    Regina Chain
Newer sprockets geared slightly taller than stock (lower revs at hwy speed I guess)
Rev Limiter (not sure if its working YET)
Custom carrying rack with a back rest inset (took it off already)
    New seat cover, very nice
Really neat rear signal lights, really small and bright, I have to find a pair for the front.

Thanks for a great site, hope it gets larger with more information for use up here in the north, it gets to be a long winter.
