Any of my northeast friends planning on catching the total solar eclipse on Monday 4/8/24? The path of totality runs thru upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. I caught the last one back in 2017 in South Carolina and it was magnificent! Something everyone should try to see once in their lifetime. It is quite an experience and the feeling you get is unlike anything else you will experience in your life. I am considering making the drive and might stay in Ticonderoga.
You owe it to yourself to catch a solar eclipse

You would want to go a bit further north or west Mark! Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Watertown are all in the path of totality. My wife and I are going to be visiting in Dallas, TX (which is also in the path of totality). The chances of clear skies are better down there! Already have my super cool eclipse glasses at the ready.
See you in June!

Ticonderoga looks to be on the edge of the path of totality. I picked there because I am familiar with the town from a previous ride. Hoping for clear skies for both of us Steve. |

I plan on being on the north shore of Lake Erie, only a half hour drive south of London. I sure hope the weather cooperates!! We will keep an eye on the forecast a few days ahead to make any travel adjustments!

My house is in the path of the totality right here in central VT. Fingers crossed for a clear day in New England in April. |

I'm going to fly my Lear Jet to Nova Scotia with my hat dipped strategically below one eye!
Just couldn't resist! |
