Hi guys, I know it’s been way too long since I’ve been on the website. I don’t know how many of you knew him but I just found out that Howard Abel (Howie) passed away about a year ago. All I know was that he passed in his sleep. Howie is an F’er from way back. He club raced a CB1100F in the central California area BITD. He was the guy that built ‘Da Beast’ that I bought and later Jes bought from me. I think he still has it?

Anyway, I don’t think he was ever active here but he was a damn good F’er!

That's sad to hear Martin, glad to see you back here. I seem to recall Howard built up a pretty trick Blackbird after he sold you da'Beast?

VERY SAD to hear that.

Howard was a wealth of knowledge that he openly shared.

A BIG LOSS for sure.

When I first joined this forum that bike was "current" and had lots of attention and was pretty much the standard for F builds.

Brings back lots of memories.

RIP to Howard.
