Us blind guys who need reading glasses but don't ware them while riding....I find it impossible to read the small stuff on the gps mounted on the bars. I can see the routes on the thing but can't make out the small stuff on the bottom such as road name's. I'm thinkin to buy a flexible magnifier strip to install on the bottom of my visor, just large enough along the very bottom of the visor were it doesn't interfere with normal sight line while riding. Anyone done something like this ? I don't want to ware glasses while riding as I don't need them to see down the road.

Fishermans sunglasses. They are non prescription lenses with little reader insert lens in the lower part. Works great for me. I found them at Fleet Farm but Amazon has a variety and someone sells em on FB for motorcyclist at twice the price. |

If you want to go cheap, ( I think that's your middle name ) go to Princess Auto and get a pair of bi-focal safety glasses. This will also give you eye protection
if you want to flip up your visor.

As I described I am looking for an alternative to glasses. Need something on the bottom of my visor to magnify. |

for me, i use a tank bag with a clear map pocket, i buy an atlas, rip out the "page of the day", and below it write out the directions on white paper, with a magic marker in big print. at every gas-up, i update my route, and directions, as needed.
simple, and fool-proof. |
