So I’ve got a stock 81 CB900f and I’m going to get it painted but I can’t decide what color or decals to go with. To me it doesn’t have to be the ‘correct’ color and decals for the model and year. But I figure if I’m spending the money I want it to stand out. I like the Freddy Spencer silver with blue but I’m leaning towards maybe red or black. If you could repaint your bike what would you do. Thanks.

Yes that red bike does look good and yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The truth is if you are a fan of these bikes we think they all look good. I’ve had one years ago painted a nice glossy black and it only had yellow Honda wings on the tank and I thought that looked awesome.

One thing you can do is have several gas tanks and body work with various themes. Then you can change from red to silver to black and various years or countries.

The multi panel idea is clever. I do have a spare tank so that is something to think about. Wow that black with the gold trim is elegant. Thanks guys.

Everyone's going to have a different idea on what looks best - I like them all, but prefer stock schemes over custom schemes.

There's a whole host of bikes with many different schemes in my PhotoBucket account;

Thanks I checked out the photobucket pictures. My choice isn’t getting easier. It’s great looking at all different bikes though.

I too love the silver. '79-'80......IDK. I kinda like the blue/black on the '82's.

If you need stripe kits here you go.
