Hi

I will be in the Burbank California area mid November. Planning on renting a motorcycle to ride, Mulholland, Topanga and Laurel canyon areas... Anybody out that way have any information, better areas to ride... best place to rent a bike etc...? I am arriving on the 13th November, leaving the 19th.

Appreciate any and all guidance.

Peace
Vince

No idea about bike rentals.

Angeles Crest is fun, but full of squids; well, everything is.

You could go to The Rock Store on Sunday (it survived), but the Snake is still closed from the Woolsey fire.

I'm not riding anymore, but we can do lunch or breakfast or something. I live about a mile from Laurel Canyon Bl where it goes up FWIW, but it's full of commuters, not a good ride. But Ventura Fwy is close by, it goes out to Topanga.

Vince I have a story. My brother (1980 silver 750F) and uncle (1979 CBX) were riding up the coast in 1985 on my Blue/White 1100 and we went up Topanga Canyon one beautiful summer day. We were stuck in traffic going 25 mph. Very frustrating since the road was spectacular. Along comes a guy on a Z1 lane splitting up the middle of the road passing everyone including me! I pulled out (they stayed thank god) and I gave chase and we diced all the way up to the top where I was able to duck under him and and take the lead...... I win ...... uh-oh I was balls out in a decreasing radius turn (he most likely knew the road and me being from NY never saw it before.) As I drifted the bike to the outside fog line the corner straightened out and on I went. Thank you god.

Say hi to my corner for me when you get there (you will note it's a moderate left with a guardrail and cliff over the right shoulder) ..... please be careful!

Has the snake been reopened now?

I went in mid September and it remained closed.

I do hope that it's been repaired, it is truly a great stretch of road surface, the atmosphere amongst the bikers and car drivers is great, I go every year as part of our vacation to LA

This year was a disappointment but we did get lunch at the rockstore 👍👍

Have fun whatever you get to do
