Just finished the red bike that now has the fresh blue bodywork and a 1123 motor. The red one has fresh paint and a bunch of other cool stuff.
Which one would you take if they were both in your garage? |

I would have to toss a coin since they both look so sweet. Nice mirrors, BTW!
JR - you have a PM from me. And a text...

You'd get there sooner on the red one. |

If I was going to Stockbridge with one of them, I like the blue one (go figure) but I would prefer having the stock pipes on it.
Are you riding there J.R.? I'm thinking of making the trip myself.
BTW, your restorations are always jaw dropping!! Both are beauties!!

Yes, I'll be there but not riding either of those. Both are owned by "Quickster" here on the site.
I hope you can make it. Currently, the weather is only showing a very slight chance of rain.
I look forward to seeing you (and other folks) there. |

If I were to take either one of them, I'd have to clean it up a little before taking it out in public. |

Thanks for posting J.R. I've been off the grid with no cell nor internet access. Can't wait to see and ride them. Looks great!
Raining here so no Stockbridge today for me unfortunately. |

Red bike sold today to a friend who jumped on it after a 15 minute ride. Another beauty and solid as a rock mechanically by J. R. |

Good you sold the red one, I could see some rust inside the fins of those exhaust collars.... |

Good eyes. I had a spare set to get re-plated as well as the shock coils needed some love also. Otherwise, normal patina on the engine and perfect running condition with lots of goodies. Going to a good home (a Norwegian living in USA for many years) who had one 20 some years ago and regretted every day without one. Similar to me selling a blue bike a few years ago and now finally the quest is over for me as well.
10/7 update: Red bike left my stable today. The buyer will be looking for a set of gold boomies in the future. He's also buying the spare exhaust collars for a winter project to get replated. |
