Riding days are becoming fewer and further between but today was awesome. Dry, mid 60’s, lots of foliage changing color to enjoy along with with Aaron’s GSXR and my VFR. First real ride I have gotten on the VFR since acquisition and doing a load of work to get her mechanically sound. Still working on the fairing lowers.

It was also a great day for riding here in MA. I took an "extended" lunch hour from work and got some miles on my VFR. The more I ride it, the more I love it.

The next couple of days look like they'll be good for riding, so I may have to take a half day off and get some more miles in.

We have had some beautiful days for riding here in Southern Ontario. I have been getting the bike out for short rides, with no particular destination.
Some hazards this time of year to watch out for...large farm machinery harvesting beans and corn, along with the mud they bring out to the road.
Leaves on a wet road surface can give you some "Oh Shit" moments too.
Ride safe everyone!!

Chris, we've been having similar weather here. Today was another beaut, so I spent my lunch hour on two wheels and went on one of my favorite loops around the Wachusett Reservoir. It looks like it will be colder the rest of the week, but I'm hoping for a few more days like this before I have to tuck the bikes away.

It was another great day for a lunchtime ride. This was a good midpoint to stop for a picture, in front of Comet Pond in Hubbardston, MA. It was colder today - 53 degrees, but I dressed right and I think that fairing helps keep the wind down.

I love that bike!! You are so lucky to have such twisty, scenic roads to ride within minutes of leaving the city. Looking at our 7 day forecast,
I won't be doing any riding for at least a week, so I'm going out after work to top off the tank with Shell 91 @ 172.9/litre!!
No scenic photo stops on the way... Sad

Chris - you're right and I am very lucky. As soon as I get to the end of my street, the nice riding starts. I have lots of choices for twisties, all within minutes. Working from home has been nice since I can just play it by ear and take off at lunchtime if the weather is right. Even when I was working in the office, I had nice country roads just a few minutes away. Too bad the good times will be coming to an end soon...Sad

Did you maybe get the decimal point in the wrong place? Its much much cheaper in MI Very Happy Worth a visit by the sounds of it and the border is open again.

That's how the price appears on the sign, the number being 'cents' per litre. I found a station that had 91 oct. @ 159.9/L after work yesterday.
That still works out to over $6/gallon in CDN dollars.
How ever you work it out...we are getting screwed!!
Coming across the border for a day trip isn't possible yet.

As the summer days were fading the call went out for a Fall Ride on Saturday up by Blue Mountain Ontario near Georgian Bay.

With a little bit of additional gear we kept warm in the cooler weather aided by some sunshine.

For entertainment (other than Scramble Bob) we had the trees turning into their fall colours and with views of Georgian Bay from the high up on the Escarpment.

Left to right.

Right on Tom! That was a fun weekend! I hope we get a return invitation back to the 5 star Wulph Resort!!
Good to see you and Carol again, and Ed, who I haven't seen since Sept. of 2019.

Cheers!

One of these years I'd love to come up there and ride with you guys. I'm sure it was a blast! Glad you were able to pull it off before it got too cold.

5 star resort is an understatement. Thanks to Gabe and his wife for giving us all the royal treatment. Roads and scenery were terrific, company was second to none.....corn was good too 😁. Can't wait till next time...but hold the rain for the next ride home😎. I would post a picture but the CB1100f gods refuse to alow me to do so.

Rain this AM in Maine, but it cleared off, and I was able to do about 80 miles on the Beast.

Mid seventies, bright sunshine, excellent roads in Central Maine. 200 plus miles on the 985. Peak foliage in the bargain!

Today I went into town to exchange some money into USD. OMG! It cost me $1.41 CAD for 1 USD. I was a tad peeved!!!
Looks like I will not be purchasing anything made in the USA for a while.

I got home, got off the bike and she looked so shiny and nice before her long sleep that my inner peace returned Smile

Got to get more mileage during these last days of fall.

Today was a glorious day for a ride and see nature's true colors. the morning was a little nippy, so heated grips and windshield were welcome features.

Great to catch up with Peter - his bike is a very nice example of an original 900F.
