Hello,

I have a 1979 Honda CBX SuperSport that the carbs are clogged up from sitting a bit too long during my move. I tried turning it over, got it started/rough, but it died. and in attempting to start the starter or solenoid went out. Now, I just get a click sound even with a fully charged battery.

I don't currently not setup to get into this project. I was hoping I could locate a mechanic to diagnose for me.

Does anyone know of a CBX mechanic in the area of Spokane, CDA Idaho or even Montana area? If I have to I guess I could trailer it to Seattle, if there is someone there. I know Jim's Southend Motorsports is no longer open. Hmm.

Thanks,
cbas

I'd also try posting on several of the Facebook forums to get many to chime in.

Best of luck.

If you can remove the carbs, box them up and send to CBxtras he has done many carb rebuilds on these bikes. He is a member on this forum. Starter can be rebuilt with a kit and CBxtras, Headless or TomK can do that for you. You'll have to ship though.
