Aaron and I took a run down to True Disc yesterday. Great day for a drive, warm and sunny with the top down. Boring freeway all the way so hence car not bikes. Anyway we watched our three rotors resurfaced and the results are just excellent. We cannot recommend True Disc enough if you have a worn or otherwise scuffed up rotor this is the way to restore it. The pic is of the rear rotor from my R being ground that was in pretty ugly shape and now is perfect.

Tom at TrueDisk is a class act. He does great work and he's very quick. I've had him do at least 30 brake rotors now and am glad we have him as a resource.

Nick! I wish I knew you were going there! I have a spare set of rotors for my bike I would like to get done. I should have brought them with me last time I was at your place and left them with you. That was 2 years ago this month.
I should box them up and see what postage will cost me to send them there, then have them sent to you when finished. I could (hopefully) get them next spring.

What is the cost for a 3 disk job?

Cheers!
Chris

Yes. Toms work is top shelf! I have another set of discs to go to him, as well. This has become a standard part of a build!

The man is quite a skilled craftsman. He starts out checking the rotor with a dti for run out and corrects as much as he can with mallet strikes before setting up to grind. My R rotor was also a little cupped and he used a press to take out most of it first. He checks run out again after grind and puts them back in for touch up if not perfect. And he's a really nice guy to top it all.

Thanks Aaron, I have a complete spare set of brake rotors for my bike. I'm going to box them up, and get the cost of shipping them from London. It won't be cheap as Canada Post doesn't offer a flat rate box to the U.S.
I will probably wait until we can cross the border again and I'll either ship them out of Port Huron, or go visit Nick and drop them off with him.
Hope to see you guys at the Spring Ride in Vermont. You will love it!!

Cheers!
Chris

The next set of discs is back from Tom, and they look like his normal outstanding work! These will be installed on a freshly remodeled set of 1100F wheels for use on the 985.
