Craigslisting is a hobby in and of itself... And occasionally it pays off. Met a great guy with some extra parts laying around...750 motor minus barrels and carbs, a bunch of brake pads, a starter motor, rotor and stator and... The icing on the cake was the chrome OMT 4-1 pipe. Less than 5 miles away and seller refused to take more than $40 for the lot.

Now I am at a cross roads b/c I really love my Bassani pipe. Decision decisions! Smile

On another note seller was a hot rod guy and seemed to be clearing out the last of his hobbies. He had a beautiful 52 corvette with the straight 6 that he had already sold but was still in the garage and a 1984 911 targa with the bigger engine that he was looking to find a new home for. He showed me the blueprints for the 911 motor and receipts for 14k of engine work in 2009 at 55000 miles and sadly he only put 300 miles on it since due to health.

The brake pads have the $40.00 covered so the rest of the haul was free.
Outstanding!

i will likely take inventory and post things i cant use (like the brake pads since I have after market calipers) in the for sale section for cost of shipping.

As for the 911, I cant afford that...you need a brinks truck now days if you want to play in that game. Air cooled Porsches are a hot market today and he was looking for 30k, which seemed fair but what do I know. I am, however, in the market for a beach truck for the cape and was looking a Tacomas...holly crap people sure are proud of their old Toyota mini trucks and someone must have discovered that old jeep wagoneers were lined with gold. (if you have a Marty McFly style Tacoma in decent shape give me a shout)

Too bad you showed you cards and told everyone what you paid for the pipe! Now you can't charge more than say.... 60 bucks for it!!! Laughing

I'm pretty sure that the OMT pipe will make more HP but its a street pipe (meaning it doesn't have a center hung collector) and the collector likes to drag the ground on hard right handers.

I have both a Bassani and OMT. The OMT collector was one of the first to have all the pipes merge with a point in the middle. Sorry I don't know what the piece is called? Yours may not have it if its an early one?

Anyway great score. Jim
