...It helps if you can admit that you have a problem. Then we can get you into our twelve step program. Wink

(Kidding aside, look here first. Sometims eBay is a deal - others you're spending too much money.)

BTW - welcome "aboard".

eBay is a great source for almost everything and I'm sure the For Sale/Wanted forum here is excellent for parts too. The place I've managed to score a few really good deals though is on craigslist.
Just pulled off a beauty a couple of days ago. I picked up three complete sets of CB750F bodywork. A silver 82' set, a black 82' set and a black 79' set. That's tanks, tail sections, side panels, front fenders and seats, not to mention a red numbered 150mph tach/speedo unit from the 79' bike and two sets of mint condition grab bars. Cost? $100. bucks! That's right, five crisp $20. bills!
The seller has been building (and selling) these "rat bike" style 750F powered choppers by cutting off the rear frame sections, welding on hardtail rears mixed up with steel fenders, solo seats and peanut/Sprtster tanks, etc. So, all the stock "F" body parts were deemed as useless.
Keep your eyes open!!!

I just checked my PayPal account and in the last 3 years I spent $24,236.29. That's mostly on parts and doesn't count the $3000 cash payment for my 1000C, but it does include the $1800 I paid for my Pioneer receiver that retailed for $4500, and my new Fluke that was $1900 but retails for $3630.

Jeeberz! Shocked

Wow that's a fantastic score I'm looking for a complete set for repainting. I can use my silver 81 set for decal reference so i get them on in the right place after paint. Let me know if you want to sell a set I'm defenilty interested thanks.

ScarySS,

I have no intention of selling any of these parts. One set will carry the very same graphics/logo design as the set that is on my bike now, only difference is that it will be the black w/orange version. the 2nd set will be in the stock 79' silver scheme and the 3rd set will be a "one off" set finished in a color never available OEM with stock-style designed graphics in never available OEM colors.

(I intend to start collecting parts for another CB7/11F build or possibly two.)
